Introduction
The course is designed to link the two units (subjects) based on industry experience and feedback, the students will be taken on a journey starting with:
Gas basics and principles, gas safety and testing method, Type B gas appliances connecting to Gas Stationary engines, correct installation for gas stationary engines, techniques including a submission, commission and testing/Compliance, repair, maintain and service gas stationary engines.

This course is designed for those wanting to work on gas stationary engines. Applicants can complete the service only unit, or the entire program to be able to install, commission and repair gas stationary fuelled engines.

UEPMNT368 Repair and maintain stationary gas-fueled reciprocating engines
This unit covers the isolation, disconnecting, repairing, reconnecting and maintenance of stationary gas-fueled reciprocating engines for approval where required.
It encompasses working safely and to relevant standards disconnecting, carry out repairs and replacement of fuel train components to given specifications. Reconnecting the engine including pre-start tests, start-up, adjusting components and controls to safe and efficient operation. Completing all required documentation.
This training covers the basics of Install, commission but focuses on the repair and maintenance of stationary gas-fueled reciprocating gas-fueled engines complying with the nationally accredited training scheme.
This unit is completed first. And if the student is required to install and commissioning then they continue with the additional training days to complete the next unit UEPMNT367.
UEPMNT367 Install and commission stationary gas-fueled reciprocating engines
This unit covers the installation and commissioning of stationary gas-fueled reciprocating engines for approval where required. It encompasses working safely and to installation standards matching the plant/equipment, location, components and fuel train pipe-work to given specifications. Commissioning the plant and equipment including pre-commissioning tests, start-up, adjusting components and controls to safe and efficient operation. Completing all necessary installation and commissioning documentation.
